As the CEO you probably don’t think it is your responsibility to generate leads. But imagine if your actions drove traffic to your website or caused someone to email or pick up the phone and call your company to learn more.

Senior leaders of companies, like sales leaders and especially CEOs, can make a tremendous difference by using social media, especially LinkedIn, for the B2B sale. Being visible as the experts on LinkedIn can help your company generate leads and attract potential buyers.
In short, you as the CEO need to become your company’s Chief Evangelist or Chief Visibility Officer. Having your company’s senior leaders on LinkedIn truly makes a difference.
The challenge is, most senior leaders and CEOs think LinkedIn doesn’t matter. It’s not worth their time, they don’t have time, or they think they shouldn’t do it themselves. But some of the best company leaders I know are on LinkedIn and are paving the way for this. I believe someone needs to take the role of evangelist within a company.
